For the past 25 years, Bank of America has provided access to some of our nation’s greatest cultural experiences and brought new visitors to our partner museums. With over 225 Museums on Us partners in 123 cities across the U.S., there is an option for everyone. Atlanta History Center: The Atlanta Historical Society was founded in 1926 to preserve and study Atlanta history. In 1990, after decades of collecting, researching, and publishing information about Atlanta and the surrounding area, the organization officially became Atlanta History Center. What began as a small, archival-focused historical society grew over the decades to encompass 33 acres of curated Goizueta Gardens, four historic houses, varied programming, and a range of signature and temporary exhibitions housed in the Atlanta History Museum. Center for Civil and Human Rights: The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is a museum and cultural institution that connects the U.S. Civil Rights Movement to human rights challenges today. Georgia State Railroad Museum: Located in Tricentennial Park, Georgia State Railroad Museum is a beautiful National Historic Landmark located at the old Central of Georgia Railway Savannah Shops and Terminal Facilities. With a fully operational turntable, you have the chance to explore historic railcars, experience the handcar, and go on guided tours. High Museum of Art’s: Ancient Nubia: Art of the 25th Dynasty from the Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Ancient Nubia: Art of the 25th Dynasty presents two hundred works of art, all from the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, made during the peak of Nubian power. The exhibition features masterpieces that highlight the skill, artistry, and innovation of Napatan makers and reflect the wealth and power of their kings and queens. Morris Museum of Art: Artrageous! Family Sunday: Plant Swap and Clinic Bring a plant, take a plant. Bring your seedlings or cuttings to swap. Also bring samples or pictures of your sick houseplants and garden plants to our certified horticulture expert to get a diagnosis and treatment. No plants? No problem! Plant some seeds to take home and enjoy iced coffee and lemonade. Sunday, June 4, 2:00–4:00 p.m. SCAD Museum of Art: Leung Chi Wo + Sara Wong Leung Chi Wo (b. 1968, Hong Kong) and Sara Wong (b. 1968, Hong Kong) have collaborated since 1992. Leung Chi Wo and Sara Wong explore the anonymity of history by contemplating figures in the background of found snapshots. In their Museum of the Lost series, Leung and Wong re-enact the poses and attire of these unidentified, unaware “minor characters,” producing life-sized photographic prints and crafting accompanying texts that imagine their experiences and personalities. The artists’ exhibition focuses on works made from the photo albums of families in Nagoya, Japan, in which Leung and Wong challenge historical grand narratives and shed light on the poetics of photography. Old Fort Jackson: Old Fort Jackson is a National Historic Landmark offering daily cannon firings and exciting interactive programs for adults, kids and families! You can experience unique views of Savannah's riverfront and walk on the grounds of one of the oldest brick fortifications on the East Coast. Daily cannon firings occur at 11am and 2pm. Pin Point Heritage Museum: Pin Point Heritage Museum is located in the old A.S. Varn & Son Oyster and Crab Factory, experience the Gullah/Geechee culture first hand. For nearly 100 years, the community of Pin Point was quietly isolated on the banks of the Moon River just south of Savannah. Now, you can explore the refurbished museum complex and experience multimedia presentations, exciting exhibits and unparalleled views of the marsh! Savannah Children's Museum: Located in Tricentennial Park, Savannah Children's Museum is the perfect place for families to explore and play! The museum is currently entirely outdoors and located in the old Central of Georgia Railway Carpentry Shop lower level and upper courtyard. The museum features over a dozen exhibits designed to expand the imaginations of children including an exploration maze, a reading nook and a sensory garden. Savannah History Museum: Loyalists & Liberty Battlefield Tours March through history and learn about the American Revolution in Savannah! Experience a black powder demonstration, immerse yourself in 1779 Savannah, and hear about the personalities that shaped the city's fight for freedom. Loyalists & Liberty Battlefield Tours Friday and Saturday at 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm. Tellus Science Museum: Tellus is a world-class 120,000 square foot museum in Cartersville, Georgia. The museum’s exhibits open minds and ignite a passion for science. Tellus features four main galleries: The Weinman Mineral Gallery, The Fossil Gallery, Science in Motion and The Collins Family My Big Backyard. A 120-seat digital planetarium and an observatory with a state-of-the-art 20-inch telescope is also located at Tellus.
