A few weeks ago, my daughter Scarlett and I embarked on an incredible girls' weekend adventure with my best friend Jamie and her little lady, Raelyn. What was initially planned as a trip to see Kidz Bop LIVE! turned into an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, bonding, and cherished memories. From shopping for snacks and outfits at Target to singing along at the concert and enjoying the hotel's indoor pool, our weekend was a whirlwind of joy and excitement.
Our journey began with a visit to Target, where we stocked up on snacks and found adorable new outfits for the girls, including matching pajamas. The anticipation grew as we checked into the Embassy Suite, carefully chosen for its two-room layout, allowing us to enjoy some quality adult conversation after the girls went to sleep. Dressed in our new outfits, we excitedly headed to the show.
At Ameris Bank Amphitheater, we were greeted with free parking and amazing tickets, setting the stage for an unforgettable concert experience. To make it even more enjoyable, the venue served Baby Shark-themed virgin strawberry daiquiris, and flashing hearts added a touch of magic. As the night progressed, Jamie and I realized we were a little out of touch with the latest pop music, but Raelyn knew most of the songs and delighted us with her singing. Scarlett, on the other hand, danced and smiled throughout the entire show, but her absolute favorite moment was when the confetti cannons were launched.
After the concert, we anticipated a swift exit from the venue, but our little ones had a different plan in mind. Determined to collect as much confetti as possible, they darted up and down the aisles, and we found solace in the fact that we weren't the only bewildered mamas trying to keep up. Eventually, we made it back to the hotel, albeit after enduring some traffic, ready for the next chapter of our adventure.
With exhaustion fading into the background, there was one thing left to do: enjoy the hotel's indoor pool. While Scarlett is a confident swimmer, I preferred to stay close and ensure her safety. The pool became a hub of laughter and conversations as we interacted with other families and shared the joys of motherhood. Amidst the delightful chaos and a few minor rescues, the clock struck 9 PM, and I realized it was time to call it a night. Laden with exhaustion, we gathered our little ones and headed back to the room, where we dried off and ordered pizza to satisfy our hunger.
Finally, at 11:40 PM, the girls drifted off to sleep, slightly later than their usual bedtime. The late night was well worth it, as we had witnessed our little ones having the time of their lives. The bond between them was undeniable, and the joy extended to the next morning as we relished a delightful breakfast together. Buffets turned out to be the perfect choice, allowing the girls to sample a little bit of everything and indulge their adventurous taste buds. Already, we eagerly await our next adventure, contemplating the possibility of attending concerts by artists like Morgan Wallen or Luke Combs, as their music appeals to both the young and older generations.
Our girls' weekend with Jamie, Raelyn, and Scarlett was a remarkable experience filled with music, laughter, and shared moments of motherhood.
