October ... just the word brings to mind beautiful fall leaves, cool nights, apples, fall celebrations, and pumpkins! But that's not all! Did you know Taco Day is in October too? Head to Mercier Orchards to pick your own apples on Oct. 21, which is National Apple Day. Picking apples at Mercier Orchards is always a favorite thing to do with our kids ... plus the picture opps can't be beat!

Make a Difference Day is Oct. 22! It's a great time to find a place in Dallas, Hiram or Acworth where you can volunteer with your kids. Some family-friendly volunteer opportunities include:
