July 4th Celebrations in Paulding, Cobb and Beyond!

Fabulous 4th of July events begin this weekend!  For all of the planners out there (like me!), I've prepared this guide to help you plan your 4th festivities!  There will be the annual Acworth and Hiram celebrations, plus options in Kennesaw, Villa Rica, Powder Springs, Douglasville, Marietta, Woodstock, Downtown and more!  I'll be adding to the list as I find more celebrations, so check back often.


PRIME OF PAULDING RED WHITE & BOOM! (Hiram)
DATE: June 30
TIME: 4pm-9:30pm
WHAT:  Food, Family Fun Zone, Live Music, Games and more! Fireworks begin at 9:30pm.
WHERE:  Ben Hill Strickland Sr. Memorial Park
COST: FREE Admission


CONCERT AND FIREWORKS AT KSU (Kennesaw State University)
DATE: June 30 (Rain Date July 1)
TIME: 5pm-8pm
WHAT: This free, annual event features a patriotic concert with performances by the KSU Big Band and KSU Summer Orchestra followed by a spectacular fireworks finale. Beginning at 5 p.m., the Family Fun Festival features pre-concert activities including free games and inflatables, face painting, and balloon artists for kids plus food vendors, exhibitors and vendors from the KSU community and beyond, and more.
WHERE:  Fifth Third Bank Stadium, Kennesaw State University, 3200 George Busbee Parkway NW

FANTASTIC FOURTH CELEBRATION (Stone Mountain Park)
DATE: July 1-7
TIME: Attraction Hours: 10:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., Lasershow and Fireworks: 9:30 p.m.
WHAT: Enjoy a day full of adventure with Stone Mountain Park's great family attractions, then stay into the evening to experience the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision® featuring new music, animation, water effects, an immersive laser canopy, and a fleet of robotic drones synced with music in front of the 825-foot mountain face! Our special patriotic fireworks finale will immediately follow the Lasershow all 7 nights of the celebration!

COST: Access to the Lasershow Spectacular and fireworks is included with your paid daily or annual parking admission. Access to park attractions and seasonal live entertainment is included with a daily All-Attractions Pass or annual Membership. 


COCA-COLA® JULY 4th FEST (Six Flags Over Georgia)
DATE: June 30-July 4
TIME: See website for details.
WHAT: Each night, Six Flags Over Georgia will be honoring the annual Independence Day tradition with an amazing fireworks show! Purchase Hurricane Harbor VIP Event tickets to get the best seats in the house. The firework show will start at dusk each night.

CITY OF KENNESAW'S SALUTE TO AMERICA (Kennesaw)
DATE: July 3
TIME: 6pm-9:30pm.  Fireworks start at 9:30pm.
WHAT: Enjoy fireworks, music, games, food, live entertainment and kids activities.  
WHERE:  Downtown Kennesaw
COST: FREE Admission


9TH ANNUAL FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA! (Villa Rica)
DATE: July 3
TIME: 5pm-end of fireworks
WHAT: Fireworks, live entertainment, inflatables and kids activities.
WHERE:  Villa Rica Civic Center & Sports Complex (V-Plex), 1605 Highway 61, Villa Rica, GA 30180 
COST: FREE Admission, vendor costs may vary


JULY 4 CONCERT AND FIREWORKS (Acworth)
DATE: July 4
TIME: 5:30pm-9:30pm
WHAT: Festivities will feature live music, food vendors and fireworks at Cauble Park. Live music begins at 5:30 p.m. and fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m., weather permitting and subject to change.  
WHERE:  Cauble Park
COST: FREE Admission, Tables available for reserve (fee)


MARIETTA FOURTH IN THE PARK! (Marietta)
DATE: July 4
TIME: 10am-9:30pm
WHAT: The city of Marietta's Fourth in the Park celebration begins at 10 a.m. and includes a parade, free live concerts, vendors, food, carnival games and a fireworks finale.
WHERE:  Marietta Square
COST: FREE Admission


JULY 4 PARADE & FIREWORKS (Douglasville)
DATE: July 4
TIME: Parade (10am), Festival (11am-2pm)  Fireworks (Dusk)
WHAT: The parade will kick off the fourth festivities as it heads down Church Street to Selman Drive.  Then at 11am, the festival begins at Hunter Park.  At dusk, head on over to the Arbor Place Mall parking lot to see the fireworks. 
WHERE: Downtown Douglasville
COST: FREE Admission


FREEDOM FEST (Woodstock)
DATE: July 4
TIME: 10am-End of Fireworks
WHAT: PARADE begins at 10am.  The Parade will begin at Woodstock Elementary and follow Main Street to Sam's Club.
FREEDOM FEST will run from 11 am-3 pm in the Park at City Center (101 Arnold Mill Road) featuring food, live music, children's games, arts and crafts and more.  
FIREWORKS will begin at dusk behind the Target shopping center at Hwy 92 and 575.
