Bowlero Kennesaw: More Than a Bowling Alley

Hosted Review

By Meg Jollett February 27, 2017

My family was invited to experience the brand new Bowlero in Kennesaw this past weekend and we were more than impressed.

We had visited this location a year or so ago when it was Brunswick Zone and we were excited to see what changes Bowlero would have in store.  While the lanes were still set up in a similar fashion, the seating areas and decor have been updated to create a modern and upscale environment.  And the lanes are "blacklight lanes," which my son thought was super cool.

Besides bowling, Bowlero offers a full arcade (similar to Brunswick Zones', however Bowlero has added more interactive games!), laser tag and a game room that includes billiards and two shuffleboard tables. Bowlero also offers a full service bar with a huge, modern seating area.

We strolled up to our lane (thanks for the VIP treatment and Macaroni Kid welcome, Bowlero!),  parked the baby in the stroller with some snacks and bowled for almost two hours.  Bowlero has ramps and bumpers available for tiny bowlers.  We put up the bumpers for my little guy (I think I used them more than he did) and we bowled the day away.  As a bonus, in addition to bowling, we got to watch a little bit of my favorite movie, "The Neverending Story!"  It was playing on the big screen.  My husband appreciated having sports to watch on the other screens.

I'm pretty sure that in the end, I lost to both my husband and son in a humiliating fashion.  At some point, I stopped looking at the scoreboard.  I still had fun though and that's all that matters.  And the boys had a blast!  As many moms know, it can be difficult to find places to go for a family fun day with a baby in tow.  Movies aren't really an option.  Roller skating isn't really an option. But bowling gives everyone a chance to participate.  Plus, it's loud enough that if the baby has a "moment," it's not a distraction to other bowlers.

While we were bowling, our server brought us some some seriously yummy treats.  The hot pretzel sticks were delicious.  My family has been on a serious hot pretzel kick.  We order them everywhere we go but we are generally disappointed.  These, however, did not disappoint.  They were the best we've had hands down.  And the cheesey jalapeno dipping sauce was to die for.  Then there were the mozzarella sticks.  My husband is a self-appointed mozzarella stick "aficionado" and declared Bowlero's "legit."  Based on those reviews, next time we'll have to go back for a full meal!

We can't wait to visit again soon. The bowling was great. The wait staff and food were amazing and the games were a hit!  What a great family destination and a truly awesome addition to Kennesaw and Cobb County.
